Whitney Houston Dead - a Tragedy but Celebrate Her Life

whitney houston dead at 48 february 11, 2012
In a tragedy that defies words and explanation, the music world has lost one of the finest gifts ever bestowed on it. Whitney Houston has died! Certainly, her latter years were wrought with self-destructive behavior - but nonetheless, it is a sad day, especially, coming on the eve of the Grammy Awards. Fate has has dealt a cruel hand to fans of Ms. Houston - who span the globe. Although she died an imperfect soul, she was once blessed with a voice that seemed as if the almighty gifted to us all. Good bye Angel - May the good lord carry you the rest of your journey - and when you get there - remember that your fans will always - LOVE YOU!

If I should stay,
I would only be in your way.
So I'll go, but I know
I'll think of you ev'ry step of the way.

And I will always love you.
I will always love you.
You, my darling you. Hmm.

Bittersweet memories
that is all I'm taking with me.
So, goodbye. Please, don't cry.
We both know I'm not what you, you need.

And I will always love you.
I will always love you.

Lyrics from "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston

50 Cent Goes to Africa to Highlight Hunger and Poverty Issues

Rap Star and business mogul Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has stepped-up on the humanitarian front to shine a spotlight on hunger and poverty issues confronting parts of eastern Africa. Clearly, the trip has had a somber impact on the man behind hits like Candy Shop and In Da Club.

"What I am seeing is devastating -- these women and children have risked everything to come to this Somalia camp, just to get food," Said Fifty. "They need our help."

"To meet those kids was so inspiring, they have nothing, yet they are so positive and optimistic," he said in a statement posted on the U.N. agency's website. "I want to do my part so they get food and an education. I hope more people will join me to help end this devastating situation."

If more people of Fifty's caliber did indeed follow his example, the world would be a better place for it. Kudos to Fifty for joining the humanitarian club!

Madonna Not Happy with M.I.A. for Super Bowl 'Fingering' Act

Pop music icon Madonna was upset with rapper M.I.A. for flipping her middle finger during the Super Bowl halftime show. Madonna expressed her displeasure on the Ryan Seacrest radio show during an interview.

"I wasn’t happy about it," Said Modanna. "I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity, it seemed negative.”

Madonna scolded M.I.A. for what she felt was youngish behavior by the rapper whom Madonna invited to share the stage with her for the widely popular event.

“It’s such a teenager, kind of irrelevant thing to do," she said. "There was such a feeling of love and unity there, what was the point? It was just out of place.”

M.I.A. appears on two songs on Madonna's upcoming album MDNA. She has reportedly apologized to Madonna and the Pop Queen has accepted - so all is well - publicly anyway!

My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep's Prodigy is a Must Read

Prodigy is credited as one of the true legends of the rap game. As one-half of one of the hottest ever Rap Duos, Mobb Deep, he gained respect of his peers and music fans alike. A hardcore gangsta rapper known for living the life and usually, on the edge. After spending time in prison, he has written a book that is receiving rave reviews. His is a story about the realities of the industry and the race to survive. Fortunately - he lived to tell us about it!

"I’ve been in the music industry since I was sixteen years old, touring the world, selling millions of albums—groupies, drugs, alcohol, sex, radio, TV, magazines, videos, money, jewelry, cars, fashion, rap verses, beats, and studios at my disposal for seventeen years straight. Nonstop. I came to prison when I turned 33. The truth is, I never took the time to mature mentally until now, to step outside of my little fast-paced world and see what needed to be adjusted. It’s like I was suspended in time. Like I was sixteen years old for seventeen years. I never grew up. My hardheaded ass took the long hard road to get to this point, but at least I’ve finally made it. I’m a man now."
